ICC LADIES GOLF
SUMMER 2024

“Official” Ladies Golf begins on Tuesday, June 11th, and we look forward to the fun of golfing together again this summer! Our intent is for each of us to work to improve our personal play, learn the new tee markers and the new golf rules, enjoy the stimulation of our lady friends, find something good about each shot we make and have lots of laughs together!

We have decided to collect a one-time fee of $20 to join Ladies Golf but will not be charging weekly for prize money. We will not be announcing winners or winning teams on Tuesdays but will instead post them on the Ladies Golf bulletin board the following day and submit them to the weekly ICC newsletter. We will do our best to adhere to this weekly schedule, but there could be some changes due to unexpected issues. Please arrive for Tuesday golf by 8:30 so that we can be ready to tee off by 9:00!

The Following are details about Ladies Golf:

Everyone is encouraged to keep their handicap updated or be working on establishing a GHIN handicap, as that is the only fair way to equalize winnings.

A schedule has been developed with the goal of achieving an individual score almost every week. This will make it easier to be working on your handicap.

Each week we will explain the game before the start of play. You are encouraged to keep your individual score AND your putts each week when the game permits. Scorecards are to be returned before you leave the club on Tuesdays.

Thursday Putts: Everyone is welcome to join the “Putts” players on Thursdays where you keep your own golf score, and the only competition is your number of putts on each hole. Arrive by 8:45 and be ready to begin play at 9:00.

Ringers: Eliza Childs will be supervising the ringers game.

Island Country Club Tournaments — 2024

Following is the Preliminary Golf Tournament Schedule for 2024. Women golfers are encouraged to play in all of these events, in Women’s and/or Mixed groups depending on the competition format and number of players. We will be adding dates for in-Club events such as Women’s Presidents’ Cup competitions, matches against other clubs and additional tournaments as they are scheduled. . Guests may play in some tournaments. Entry fee is the tournament amount plus greens fees for Non-Members. Please check our calendar for course closures on tournament dates. The Course is closed for the duration of the tournament. Tee times are allowed once all teams have played.

Details of the tournament formats and any special requirements will be posted as they become available.

TRIFECTA, Saturday MAY 27 @ 8:30AM (Rain date May 28)
This is an 18-hole, two-person event for men – 9 holes for Ladies. All teams start from the Frist Tee. Entry fee is $25 and you may sign up in the Pro Shop or call the Pro Shop at 348-2379.

The golf course is closed for tournaments for the duration of the event. No tee times will be taken for before 9am on the day of a tournament Thank you for understanding.
